Share What You Love with Emerald Students! After-school clubs are some of the most popular programs we offer, but they are completely volunteer-run . To keep these opportunities available to our students, we need parents, family members, staff, and community members willing to lead a club. You don’t need to be a teacher or an expert. You simply need an interest, hobby, or skill you’d enjoy sharing with students! What Kind of Club Could You Lead? Almost anything! Pastimes and skills can become wonderful clubs, including: Crochet or knitting LEGO building Jewelry making Drawing, painting, or crafts Board games or chess Running, soccer, or other sports Science or nature Coding or technology Music, dance, or theater Cooking or baking And so much more! If students would enjoy learning or doing it, it could make a great club. How After-School Clubs Work Clubs are designed to be manageable for volunteers: Each club meets for approximately one hour after school Clubs typically run for three to four sessions You choose which grade or age group you would like to work with Scheduling is flexible and based on your availability What the PTO Provides We’ll help make running your club as easy as possible. Club volunteers receive: Reimbursement for supplies up to $100 Flexible scheduling Information and planning assistance Coordination between the school and participating families We’ll handle the behind-the-scenes communication and coordination so you can focus on sharing something fun with students. Our Clubs Need You! These clubs cannot happen without volunteers. Whether you have a longtime hobby, a professional skill, or simply an activity you love, you can create a memorable experience for Emerald students. Interested in leading an after-school club? Contact the Emerald PTO to tell us your idea and get started!

The Fun Run is back , and it’s our biggest and most important fundraiser of the year! This event brings our students, families, and staff together for a day of movement, laughter, and school spirit, all while raising money for the programs that help Emerald thrive. This year’s Fun Run will take place on Thursday, September 17th . Families are invited to cheer from the sidelines and celebrate every lap! Registration Is Open Register now at www.mybooster.com . Search for Emerald Elementary to get started. Once you’ve registered, click the “Share” button on your student’s dashboard to spread the word with family and friends. Every share, pledge, and donation helps us move closer to our goal! What Your Donations Support This year, Emerald Elementary is raising $12,000 to support: After-school clubs and sports Playground equipment Community events Classroom supplies and teacher grants Student rewards and recognition And more! Funds raised through the Fun Run allow the Emerald PTO to continue providing the extras that make our school such a special place to learn and grow. How the Fundraiser Works Students collect pledges and donations from family and friends. Sponsors can donate a flat amount or pledge an amount for each lap completed during the Fun Run. Donations can be made online through mybooster.com . Students can earn prizes along the way while helping their school reach its fundraising goal. This year My Booster has partnered with Great Wolf Lodge. Students will receive wolf ears after their first donation, and if we reach our $12,000 goal, every registered student will receive a day pass to Great Wolf Lodge!! Students MUST be registered to receive this prize. At the end of the fundraiser, every student is invited to participate in the Fun Run on September 17th, a celebration of teamwork, school spirit, and community support. When we reach our $12,000 goal, get ready to celebrate together! Let's Make it a Color Run! We’re excited to celebrate another amazing school year with our Emerald community at the End of Year BBQ on Friday, June 12 from 5:30pm–7:30pm! This annual event is one of the biggest gatherings of the year and includes food, raffles, music, treats, and time for students, staff, and families to come together and celebrate the end of the school year. Because this is such a large event, we’re looking for volunteers to help with setup, grilling, serving food, raffle tables, cleanup, and other small tasks throughout the evening. Many of the volunteer shifts are short, so you can still enjoy the event with your family while helping make the evening run smoothly. Our PTO is powered entirely by volunteers, and events like this are only possible when families pitch in together. Whether you can help for 30 minutes or take on a larger role, every bit of support truly helps. Volunteer signups are now open:

Mark your calendar and bring your appetite because McTeacher Night is coming up on Wednesday, May 28 from 5:00–7:00 PM at McDonald's (405 SE 131st Ave - near Chuck’s Produce). This is one of the easiest and most fun ways to support our school. Just show up, grab dinner, and a portion of your purchase goes right back to Emerald! How It Works During the event, 20% of all lobby and drive-thru sales will be donated to our school. That means whether you dine in or swing through on a busy evening, you are helping fund programs, supplies, and experiences for our students. Your Teachers… Serving You! The best part? Our amazing teachers will be stepping out of the classroom and into the restaurant. You’ll see familiar faces: Working the drive-thru Taking orders at the counter Helping out in the lobby It’s a fun, slightly chaotic, and very memorable way for students and families to connect with staff outside of school. Why It Matters Events like McTeacher Night help us raise funds that go directly back into our school community. From classroom support to events and enrichment opportunities, every dollar makes a difference. Easy Win for a Busy Night Let’s be honest. Dinner between 5 and 7 can be a scramble. This is your perfect excuse to skip cooking and do something good at the same time. Bring the kids. Invite a friend. Tell your neighbors. The more people who show up, the bigger the impact.

Our next PTO meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd at 5:30 PM in the Emerald Commons , and all Emerald families are welcome to attend. This is one of our most important meetings of the year. We’ll be: ✔️ Approving the 2026–2027 PTO Budget (which funds classroom support, events, and student experiences) ✔️ Electing next year’s PTO Board Board Positions include: President Leads meetings, helps guide decisions, and serves as the main representative of the PTO. Vice President Supports the President, connects with committees, and steps in when needed. Treasurer Manages finances, tracks spending, and keeps everything organized and transparent. Secretary Keeps records, manages communications, and helps keep the community informed. Donations Coordinator Helps secure donations and sponsorships from local businesses to support events and programs. Volunteer Coordinator Recruits and organizes volunteers so events and activities can actually run smoothly. We need enough participation to keep the PTO running! The reality is: without a PTO board and active members, many of the events, programs, and extras our students enjoy simply can’t happen. Even if you’re not interested in a position, your voice matters when we vote on next year’s budget. Meeting Details Date: Wednesday, June 3, 2026 Time: 5:30 PM Location: Emerald Commons Come help make sure we can keep doing the things our kids love.
