The Fun Run is back, and it’s our biggest and most important fundraiser of the year! This event brings our students, families, and staff together for a day of movement, laughter, and school spirit, all while raising money for the programs that make Emerald thrive.

Our Kickoff Assembly is Wednesday, October 15th, and that’s when the fun officially begins! Students will start collecting pledges, earning prizes, and getting excited for the big event.

Then on Thursday, October 30th, we’ll all come together on the Emerald field for the Fun Run! Families are invited to come cheer from the sidelines and celebrate every lap.

About the Program

This year, Emerald Elementary is raising $12,000 to support:

After-school clubs and sports
Playground equipment
Community events
Classroom supplies and teacher grants
Student rewards and recognition
and more!

Participating is easy and fun! Once you’ve registered at mybooster.com and selected Emerald Elementary, click the “Share” button on your student dashboard to spread the word with family and friends.

Every share, pledge, and donation helps us reach our goal and makes a real difference for our students.

At the end of the fundraiser, every student is invited to take part in our BIG Fun Run event on October 30th — a celebration of teamwork, school spirit, and community support. When we hit our $12,000 goal… get ready to celebrate together! 🎉

How the Fundraiser Works

Each student collects pledges or donations from family and friends. Sponsors can pledge a flat amount or an amount per lap completed during the event.

After the Fun Run, students report their laps, and donations are collected online or through pledge envelopes sent home.

Funds raised help our PTO continue providing the extras that make Emerald such a special place to learn and grow,

On the day of the Fun Run, be sure to dress your student up in the grade's designated colors:

Kindergarten: Purple

1st Grade: Pink or Orange

2nd Grade: Red

3rd Grade: Blue

4th Grade: Yellow

5th Grade: Green

Please note changes to the run schedule this year due to changes in class schedules. We invite you to come support your student(s) and cheer them on!

We Need Volunteers!

We can’t make this event happen without you! Volunteers help with:

Marking laps and cheering on runners
Handing out water and snacks
Set-up and clean-up
Keeping everything running smoothly (literally!)

Whether you can give an hour or the whole morning, we’d love your help.

That’s okay — you can still show your support! Encourage your child, share their fundraising link with friends and family, or come out to cheer on the runners. Every bit of encouragement matters.

Applications Now Open for the Emerald Student Business Fair

Do you have a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader who loves to create, design, or come up with big ideas? The Emerald Student Business Fair is coming on Friday, April 24, 2026 , and we are now accepting applications. This special event gives students the opportunity to design, launch, and run their own small business in a supportive school environment. Students will create an original product, set their prices, and sell to real customers during the event. This is not a competition. It is a hands-on learning experience focused on creativity, problem-solving, responsibility, and confidence. Participation is free!

See's Candy Fundraiser is Open!

It’s chocolate time at Emerald. Our See’s Candy fundraiser will run March 9th to March 20th , and it’s one of the sweetest ways to support our school community. If you already buy See’s Candy for Easter, spring celebrations, or just because you love it, this is the perfect time to stock up. Orders will arrive in time for Easter, so you can check one more thing off your to-do list while helping Emerald at the same time. Why This Fundraiser Matters Fundraisers like this help the PTO support: Classroom needs Community events like Otter Family Night Student-centered programs Staff appreciation efforts Every purchase directly supports the experiences that make Emerald more than just a school. OMSI Night

Tuesday, January 6 Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: 5:00 to 6:30 PM 3rd through 5th Grade: 6:30 to 8:00 PM Get ready for an evening of hands-on science, curiosity, and discovery. We are bringing the spirit of Oregon Museum of Science and Industry right to our school for a special OMSI Night designed for the whole family. This is not a sit-and-watch kind of event. OMSI Night is all about exploring, experimenting, and figuring things out together. Throughout the school, you will find interactive stations filled with real science equipment and engaging challenges. Some activities will click instantly. Others might stump you at first. That is part of the fun. Kids will get to test ideas, make predictions, and try again when things do not work the first time. Adults might find themselves just as curious and occasionally just as perplexed. It is one of those nights where learning feels playful and shared, not instructional or pressured. Event Times Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: 5:00 to 6:30 PM 3rd through 5th Grade: 6:30 to 8:00 PM If you have children in multiple grade levels, come at the time that works best for your family. You are welcome to choose the window that feels the most comfortable and enjoyable for your crew. What to Expect Hands-on science stations with OMSI-style challenges Activities designed to spark curiosity and conversation Opportunities for kids to explore at their own pace You do not need any science background to enjoy this night. Asking questions, trying things out, and laughing when something surprises you is exactly the point. OMSI Night is about experiencing science as something approachable, creative, and fun. This event is a great chance to spend time together, see classmates outside the classroom, and remind kids that learning can happen anywhere, especially when it feels like play. We hope you will join us for an unforgettable evening of discovery.
