October 27-31, building excitement all week long for our big
Fun Run on Thursday!
Each day has a fun theme to help our students and staff get into the spirit:
Monday – Pajama Day
Start the week cozy and comfy! Wear your favorite pajamas to school.
Tuesday – Dress Fancy
Break out your best outfit - time to dress to impress!
Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday
Get silly with your style! Think mismatched clothes, wild hair, crazy socks—let your creativity shine.
Thursday – Color War + Fun Run Day!
Wear your grade’s color and get ready to cheer on your classmates during the Fun Run!

- 1st Grade: Pink or Orange
- 2nd Grade: Red
- 3rd Grade: Blue
- 4th Grade: Yellow
- 5th Grade: Green
Friday – Emerald Spirit Wear
End the week by showing off your Emerald pride with school shirts or green and white gear!
Let’s make this week full of laughter, color, and community as we come together to support our students and school. Don’t forget to share your Fun Run fundraising page with friends and family—every donation helps us reach our goal for after-school clubs, sports, and classroom supplies!

Do you have a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader who loves to create, design, or come up with big ideas? The Emerald Student Business Fair is coming on Friday, April 24, 2026 , and we are now accepting applications. This special event gives students the opportunity to design, launch, and run their own small business in a supportive school environment. Students will create an original product, set their prices, and sell to real customers during the event. This is not a competition. It is a hands-on learning experience focused on creativity, problem-solving, responsibility, and confidence. Participation is free!
It’s chocolate time at Emerald. Our See’s Candy fundraiser will run March 9th to March 20th , and it’s one of the sweetest ways to support our school community. If you already buy See’s Candy for Easter, spring celebrations, or just because you love it, this is the perfect time to stock up. Orders will arrive in time for Easter, so you can check one more thing off your to-do list while helping Emerald at the same time. Why This Fundraiser Matters Fundraisers like this help the PTO support: Classroom needs Community events like Otter Family Night Student-centered programs Staff appreciation efforts Every purchase directly supports the experiences that make Emerald more than just a school. Tuesday, January 6 Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: 5:00 to 6:30 PM 3rd through 5th Grade: 6:30 to 8:00 PM Get ready for an evening of hands-on science, curiosity, and discovery. We are bringing the spirit of Oregon Museum of Science and Industry right to our school for a special OMSI Night designed for the whole family. This is not a sit-and-watch kind of event. OMSI Night is all about exploring, experimenting, and figuring things out together. Throughout the school, you will find interactive stations filled with real science equipment and engaging challenges. Some activities will click instantly. Others might stump you at first. That is part of the fun. Kids will get to test ideas, make predictions, and try again when things do not work the first time. Adults might find themselves just as curious and occasionally just as perplexed. It is one of those nights where learning feels playful and shared, not instructional or pressured. Event Times Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: 5:00 to 6:30 PM 3rd through 5th Grade: 6:30 to 8:00 PM If you have children in multiple grade levels, come at the time that works best for your family. You are welcome to choose the window that feels the most comfortable and enjoyable for your crew. What to Expect Hands-on science stations with OMSI-style challenges Activities designed to spark curiosity and conversation Opportunities for kids to explore at their own pace You do not need any science background to enjoy this night. Asking questions, trying things out, and laughing when something surprises you is exactly the point. OMSI Night is about experiencing science as something approachable, creative, and fun. This event is a great chance to spend time together, see classmates outside the classroom, and remind kids that learning can happen anywhere, especially when it feels like play. We hope you will join us for an unforgettable evening of discovery.
